HOUSING

We will be posting a few summer sublet opportunities within the Tyler community, as well as a few on-campus housing options including The Edge, rentcampusonline.com, and Temple's dorms. If you are looking for housing outside of these options, keep in mind that Tyler students often choose to live in neighborhoods such as Fishtown, Northern Liberties, or Fairmount. Each of these neighborhoods are a short drive, bike ride, or bus ride to Tyler.
Learn more about Philly's neighborhoods here:
http://www.visitphilly.com/philadelphia-neighborhoods/

Please note: There are areas of Philadelphia that are dangerous. If you have any questions as to whether a housing opportunity is located in a safe neighborhood, please don't hesitate to ask.

HOUSING IN TEMPLE'S DORMS
Housing for SPI/SSI students is also available in Temple's dorms. The current rate, subject to change, is $33.00 for single occupancy without linens, $29 per person for double occupancy. Temple's dorm housing is offered as a convenience, and is extremely basic.

Summer Sublet Opportunity #2

I am a current Tyler Sculpture Grad looking to sublet my room. I have one female roommate, also a Tyler grad who will be graduating next month. I'm not sure exactly what her plans are for early summer yet, or if she'll be in Philadelphia.

The location is really nice. We're on the east side of Fairmount neighborhood at 15th and Wallace St. One block from Broad and close to the subway (Fairmount stop). It's a 10 min drive or bike ride to Tyler. Street parking. Quite and safe neighborhood.

Central air/heat
coin laundry in basement
3rd floor walk up
no pets

Rent is $562.50/month (1125 total)
Only utility is electric, generally low in the summer.
Internet is $27.50 (55 total, but I could be flexible on this)

The dates I'm looking to rent are May 7 - June 30.

The pictures should say the rest, let me know if you have any questions.

Summer Sublet Opportunity #1

1BR furnished in a 2BR house in Fishtown

$425 / month + Utilities (approx $75)

Fully furnished bedroom and studio office for sublet located on E. Eyre Street off of Girard Avenue. The bedroom is very comfortable providing a lot of privacy and natural sunlight. Since it’s quite small, in between the two bedrooms on the second floor is a spacious walkthrough that I use in addition to my bedroom as a small office and studio and where I keep my clothes and other belongings. The house has two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a dining room, living room and cozy backyard located on a quiet street in the safe and trendy Fishtown. My roommate is an artist actively involved with the Philly art scene.

The house is within easy walking distance to public transit (MFL Girard Station and 15, 39, 5 bus stops), bars, restaurants, coffee shops, a grocery store, parks, and galleries. It's an extremely bike-friendly neighborhood.

Dates are flexible. In May and June I am attending an artist residency in Queens, New York, but since SPI/SSI takes place June and July I can also sublet my room for July.

Available for use:
Washer/Dryer
Full bed (no sheets)
Desk
Large bookshelf
Closet with set of drawers
Internet
Kitchen supplies
